Crepe Paper & Tape

The making of oil-cooled transformers and current transformers of the IMB, CT, CVT, and other types uses this crepe paper as insulation for the leads and shields. This crepe paper is more resistant to breaking since it has 300% higher strength in both technical and cross-technical directions. It can also take on different forms depending on the insulated surface. Additionally, the larger surface area of crepe paper helps to retain more oil, lowering the transformer’s operating temperature. The copper conductors with different cross-sectional forms are covered with this crepe paper. Copper conductors bent at an angle of 180 degrees are covered in this study. Unlike this insulation won’t rip, tear, or break as a result.
